Why Social Media is vital for the Life Science & Healthcare Industry in 2022.

Social media is vital for any industry – but has never been more important for the life science industry. Read on to understand how and why this is so important and how you can make it work in your favour.

1. Social media is vital to increase your audience’s trust in both the company and what you offer.

It’s not all about the content of the post. Think of it like a small advert. Each time someone sees your post on social media – they’ll see the name of the company. Each post goes towards building your brand – no single post is enough, this is something which is built over time

 2. It’s cost effective – letting you put your effort and time where it’s needed most.

In the times of COVID-19, priorities are changing. Social media is the one thing you can do without any huge initial outlay in cost. It’s just any sponsored content that costs money, everything else is free!

Maximise your return on your investment by using content you’ve already created. Whether that’s email campaigns you’re already writing or simply repurposing website content. You may also consider repurposing content on something like a LinkedIn event to get more eyes on your content.

All of these platforms offer a variety of analytics tools. You can see everything from where your followers are based to their other interests, This means you can see month to month how your following is changing – and see the real changes you are making.

3. Be part of the industry conversation

Social media is so instant you need to be ready to react to whatever is around the corner. That might be new research or a world event.

Popular events create worldwide engagement. You can’t afford to miss being a part of that conversation.

4. You can use the platform for anything – but flexibility is key.

The most important thing to remember is that there’s no right or wrong way to post. In fact the more different your content is the more engaged your audience will be.

You do need to remember to stay flexible though. To build your audience, you need to keep people coming back to your platforms for more than just adverts about your company and what you sell.

Whatever it is you want to say – social media gives you the platform to do so. Social media means you now have a way of reaching your customers – literally having them in the palm of your hand.
